.NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME domain extension is the only one supposed to be for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing third-level domain names remained online.

Through our company, you can register your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific regulations on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
